Black History Month...

Hello everyone, just want to share some info with y'all. In honor of Black History Month there will be an Amistad Remembrance, a festive concert on Thursday, February 26th, 7:30pm, at Woolsey Hall, New Haven .
The concert celebrates Black History month with a tribute to those who bravely fought against slavery and a life of captivity. NHSO Music Director William Boughton will lead the orchestra in a thrilling program including Duke Ellington’s The River, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s Violin Concerto in G minor, Op 80 featuring guest artist Philippe Graffin, Marsha Chusmir Shapiro’s African Accents with special guests - students of Amistad Academy and Joseph Schwantner’s New Morning for the World – Daybreak of Freedom featuring guest narrator WTNH Channel 8 News Anchor Keith Kountz.
